Because, in fact, tens of thousands find it useful, and return regularly to interact with native speakers from around the world. Our site has shown tremendous benefit to many. Not just to people who know the basics of the language they want to learn. If you do, you might find MyHappyPlanet very helpful in keeping sharp. I've learned a good bit of Slovak, and started from scratch. So, it does work, albeit there are obviously things we could be doing better. I've found that, for me, it depends on my willingness to create a routine, stick with it, and find a partner that will do the same.
